I have worked in restaurant since being in college and became interested in babysitting after sitting the kids of coworkers. I found kids much easier to handle than adults coincidentally. I've been the babysitter to various children since then and am more than adept with dealing with 'difficult' children. I typically babysit on weekends as I have a part time job that keeps me occupied Mondays-Thursdays. My friends call me the 'date night' sitter.
