From '11 to '13, I was the Assistant Event Coordinator a Lonestar College in Kingwood, TX , as well as a member of the Boys and Girls Club of America. My duties in both jobs was to set-up activities, and monitor groups of any size to ensure that the quality and safety of those events were enforced to its maximum potential. At the Boys and Girls Club, my duties were to set-up safe yet fun outside activities for the children for an after school program. I have dealt with kids from all paths of life, feel I have a great understanding of how each individual kid should be treated and spoken too. My main priority when handling children is safety. Kids can become active really quick, so I take it upon myself to beat them to the punch by scheduling several small activity throughout the day/night. Activities such as: drawing Read more and coloring, reading a story or article and then explaining it in a way they understand, telling jokes, board games, and of course outside sports. From Jan '13 - Aug '14, I was a Security Office for Trojan Security, so I understand the importance of aware and ensure the home and people in it are safe and secure. I'm a big guy, so my presence alone should be enough to warn off suspicious characters from approaching the children for any reason. I understand it's unconventional for a male to become a babysitter, but I come from a single mother home of three boys. My mother is a waitress, so us boys had to watch each other while she was at work. My youngest brother is 14 and I still have to watch and look after him at all times of the day because teenagers can be reckless. I also have two nieces who are 8 and 11 that spend the night every Saturday, so I understand the care it takes to watch after boys and girls. I ensure you that your children would be safe with me watching after both physically and mentally. I've an extremely caring person, who's worked in senior living homes as a youth, and children assisting agencies as a young adult. You can not go wrong with me caring for your children. They will be extremely safe, well taken care of, and looked after the same way I'd look after my own family.
