Hello, my name is Brenda and I am 30 years old and am a NY native living in Texas for the past 6 years. I have 8 years experience as a babysitter, during which I was with one family of a set of twins and their daughter. I worked part-time when the Twins were infants to toddlers and then, moved on to full-time when their sister was born. So I have experience feeding, burping, diapering, and bathing young ones. When I became full-time with another sitter when their sister was born, my responsibilities included: newborn duties (bottle feeding, swaddling, tummy time, reading to, music, sensory activities, and more), activities for the twins including library excursions, community excursions, walks, park time, swim lessons, dance lessons, movies, natural exploration, and more. I also ran the occasional errands with the kiddos in tow. While I was babysitting, I was in grad school for Read more early childhood special education. I am certified in both early childhood and students with disabilities. I have been teaching for the past 6 years in elementary school. In terms of special needs services, I have experience working with kiddos with various disorders and conditions (i.e. Autism, Down Syndrome, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, g-tube feedings, Speech impairments, and more). I also have my own car and have been vaccinated for COVID and the flu. I also am willing to follow any cleaning protocols set in place for the wellbeing of your child. I was CPR trained and am in the process of recertification (COVID hit and it lapsed). I am very loving, patient and outgoing and love having activities that children will find entertaining. Babysitting is something I love doing even if it's part-time because everyday is different and new and it’s amazing being part of a child learning and growing as a person.
