Hello, Families! My name is Taylor, and I am a 29 year-old living here in Houston, TX, as my husband receives cancer treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center. I am a fully licensed attorney in Washington, D.C., working remotely in Document Review on a project-based basis. I have at least 8+ years of child care experience, with kids of all ages. I am responsible, trustworthy, and have always been excellent with kids. In addition to keeping a close eye on your family’s young ones, I am also comfortable pet-sitting, preparing meals, light housekeeping, bath and bedtime, including the ritual book before bed, as well as everyone’s favorite, homework! I have experience as a High School Substitute Teacher, and would be excited to help or simply oversee your kids with their academics. Games, crafts, baking, reading, TV, movies, dress-up or playing pretend, hide-and-seek, fort-building, you name it! It would be my pleasure to spend quality time with your children. As a child of the 90s, I came up on Disney/Pixar movies (hence the Mary Poppins reference), Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and of course, old-school educational public television – I’m proud to say that, after much consideration, the theme-song for the PBSKids classic Arthur is officially my adult ringtone. If that’s embarrassing (it’s not, it’s awesome), I’m an attorney as well, so with any notification my phone echoes the “dun-dun” from Law and Order – though I’m more of a The Good Fight fan these days. Overall, I am looking for part-time, date-night, or weekend babysitting opportunities. I expect to be living here in Houston, TX, for approximately the next 6-9 months at least; so, if you are looking for someone your family can build a professional relationship over time with some regularity, I would look forward to having the opportunity for as long as I am here, and as frequently as my husband's health allows.
