Hello! My name is Paige and I am so excited to join Sittercity. I have had plenty of experience with childcare and I also have a background in education. I started my childcare experience back in high school when I took a teaching course. The students ages ranging from 2-4 would come to our school for at least two hours a day, three times a week. We would then teach lessons, have the students engaged in activities and monitor playground time. That experience ultimately inspired me to pursue my current career in education. I have been an elementary teacher now for 7 years. My first year at my district I took on a long-term substitute position. After receiving my teaching certification I then went on to teach first grade at the current school that I'm at now. I taught first grade for 5 years before transitioning into my new position Read more as a third grade teacher. Overall I would say I have a clear passion for not only providing care for kids but also I am a strong advocate when it comes to educating them. I am looking forward to one day being able to help you and be at service for the care of your child.
