Hello families! My name is Katalina and I am an outgoing, passionate person who loves kids! To give you a little bit more insight into my background, I am twenty years old and was born and raised in Hutto, Texas. I am a first-generation full-time college student who attends Temple College virtually. I am pursuing an associate's degree in early childhood education before transferring to the University of Texas at Austin to complete my master's degree. When I'm not studying, I'm usually playing with my dogs, spending time with my family, or simply being outdoors. During my high school years, I was heavily involved with service programs in my city. Amongst these programs was a child guidance program where I was able to be a teacher assistant for a daycare, elementary school, and my high school all within my school district. The experience of being a teacher assistant helped me Read more learn about myself and what I wanted to accomplish in my life, which is to work professionally with children and care for them. With my experience of working with kids ranging from five to eighteen years old, to babysitting for family and being a lead teacher for children aged twelve months and older at a preschool, I am the perfect person to care for your children. I am flexible and adaptable due to the fact that I have worked with children in a variety of settings, including classrooms and homes, both on a voluntary and professional basis. I enjoy working with all ages because I have worked with and cared for children as young as seven months up to seventeen years of age but I believe I have most experience with eight month through two year olds. As a former teacher, I enjoy encouraging curiosity and creativity among the children I work with through stimulating activities such as painting, reading, and exploring the outdoors. I think it is important for children to try different activities and experiences to expand their horizons, and I love being a part of that!
