Meet Shafiya

Hi parents! It is my pleasure to meet you. Let me start by prefacing that I have six plus (6+) years of experience working with kids of all age groups. I completed my formal education and obtained my diploma in Child and Youth Work in Toronto. I have spent the greater part of the last six years working with kids in half-way homes and Boys and Girls Club of Canada assisting children of all ages in classrooms. In that manner, I have experience working with children dealing with behavioral challenges, special needs, and mental health. In my roles I have assisted and led in creating before and after school programs to enhance and foster learning, help with homework and schoolwork, and ensure children are in a positive environment. I have also worked with parents and guardians to ensure every child's needs are met.
