Meet Samantha

I’ve always had a love for babysitting, especially for the little guys- walkers. I babysat throughout my four high school years. I started shadowing at my local daycare to gain more experience. At the child care my main job was to interact with the kiddos. I started something I liked to call circle time, which is where the children would sit down for about 20-30 minutes before lunch. I’d sing them songs and we’d read books and do some creative dances. Circle time was each day as for the fine motor skills I’d get an activity planned for the week… maybe one day was play dough, and the next would be dot paint or puzzles and coloring shapes. I informed the parents on the diapers (incase of health questions) and what time the children would take their naps. Then it was off to the playground. I also am CPR certified Read more for infants- preschoolers. What sets me apart is I stay interactive with the kiddos and get on their level. I grew up babysitting children with special needs as well like autism and Down syndrome so I have some experience there. Growing up as the oldest in my family my parents were away at work most nights so it would be myself and my younger sister. I’d be cooking, cleaning, taking care of her.
