I worked as a summer day camp counselor for three summers, where I would watch groups of up to fifteen children at a time. We would play games with the kids, and once a week we would go on field trips. The children truly are what makes being a camp counselor so much fun! In addition to my experience as a counselor, I was often in charge of babysitting my younger siblings, including tasks like cooking food for the three of us and making sure they were being safe while our parents were away. Also, I am a music education major at Texas Tech, and many of the things we have learned/are learning about are related to the care and teaching of young children. I am also CPR and first-aid certified.
