I grew up babysitting and working as a summer camp counselor. In January of 2023, I began teaching art classes to elementary school children through Young Rembrandts. In the summer of 2023, I took on a new role as a preschool teacher. Since then, I’ve continued my teaching with the addition of babysitting and nannying on the side. Both jobs have been a complete and total joy. I’m an engaged caretaker who can play for hours, but I always make sure to sneak in some educational content. It’s really important for me to get kids moving and learning. I love to sing, dance, play make believe, read, watch movies, cook, clean, and learn about the world around us. I make sure to keep an open line of communication with parents, as they know what’s best for their child’s health and well-being more than anyone else. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, and I also maintain certifications in SIDS prevention and SBS prevention. I also have a Food Handler’s License! Safety is of utmost importance to me. Hello Family, I’m Jacinda Romo, and I’m excited to share a little about myself with you! I’ve been a nanny for over six wonderful years, and I truly cherish every moment spent with children. I grew up in El Paso, Texas, where I lived for 15 years before moving to Denver, Colorado, for the next decade. Recently, I returned to Texas, and it feels so good to be back home! After finishing my degree, I spent three years as an Employment Specialist, where I provided training and support to youth and adults with disabilities. My heart is truly in nurturing children and uplifting underserved communities. I hold a Colorado Substitute K-12 Teacher Certification and am CPR and AED certified. Why Do I Love Being a Sitter? I love being a sitter because it gives me the chance to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children. As a mother of one daughter who is now out of state attending dental school, I’ve always found caring for children incredibly fulfilling.
