Hi my name is Davi, I grew up in rural Texas, but now find myself living in Austin. I’m the oldest of 3 so as I grew up, I helped my mom manage our household. I’ve been babysitting and taking care of children for almost as long. Starting the summer of my 6th grade year (2006) I stayed with 2 boys ages 8&6. Since then, I’ve babysat/nannied for many families with multiple children (and animals). The last family I nannied for had a newborn who I had most of the day and then I had her 3 brothers when they were out of school. I believe kids should not sit in front of screens all day, so I try to get them to use their imaginations as much as possible. I’m very hands on and am down for anything from play dough to baking (age appropriate of course). My mom taught Pre-K for 20+ years so I’m aware of things that kids need to do in development such as crawling before they walk, touching their toes with their opposite hand, and that they need to be able to do things at their pace, even if they make a mess, so they can learn.

Why Do I Love Being a Sitter? I love being a sitter because it gives me the chance to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children. As a mother of one daughter who is now out of state attending dental school, I’ve always found caring for children incredibly fulfilling. Having just one child has made me treasure the opportunity to nurture and connect with kids, which is why babysitting feels so rewarding to me. Building trust with both children and parents is something I deeply value. What Experience Do I Have? I have extensive experience caring for children and also have a background in caring for the elderly, which has taught me patience, empathy, and responsibility. I’ve worked with children of all ages, from infants to school-aged kids, and I’m confident in managing their daily routines, ensuring their safety, and making their day enjoyable. What Skills and Training Do I Have? I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy incorporating it into caregiving, whether it’s helping bilingual families or teaching children basic words. While I’m still improving my English, I can communicate well and ensure clear understanding with both children and parents. I’m currently working on reactivating my CPR certification to ensure I’m always prepared. My skills include safely driving kids to and from school or activities, engaging in creative play, and assisting with light housework to help keep things running smoothly at home. I became a caregiver because of the big immediate family I am apart of ( I am the 7th of 11 children). No matter what field I go into I always find my way back to working with children. My experience to care kids it is marvelous because I have to kids my boy and my daughter they are wonderful children and I learning with them a lot things how to be pattiend when they want something and they are angry . That help me to see the life different because kids feel like a angel and I am very pattiend and lovely with then that the keys to make very happy the kids and understand.
