Hi! My name is Daphne. I love working with children of all ages. I started babysitting as a helper at a friend's, parent's home daycare when I was only 11; I then learned that I love working with children. I love showing them love and giving them positive attention; as well as watching them grow as individuals. Being able to nurture a child and educate them at the same time was just an amazing thing to me from early on. When I turned 14, I received my first paid babysitting job, a three year old girl named Kayla. Her parents went out alot on the weekends so I was responsible for preparing and administering dinner, bath time, playtime, storytime, and bedtime. As I got older I started volunteering at the nursery at my church during Sunday worship. We cared for children 4months to 4 years of age. I have worked Read more for Summer day camps that had children ages 6 to 16. I am a Cub Scout Tiger Den Leader that includes boys 1st and 2nd grade. I am safety certified in many areas like rifle shooting, archery, bonfire building etc; in order to ensure the boys safety when we adventure. I have worked in child learning centers with children age ranging from three months to five years old. I teach Vacation Bible School for children and youth to age 16. I also teach Sunday school with children ages four to 11. I have four boys of my own and one daughter, ages between 24 years and 8 years old. I love to cook and keep a clean house. I love outdoor ctivities and sports. I like to do puzzles and read, watch movies and do arts and crafts. I went to Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions in Houston, Texas and persued a Biology degree. After learning I couldn't stay away from teaching and caring for children, I switched gears. I am currently a Community Health Worker but have a desire to return to child care.
