Hi, my name’s Nat! I have been a SPED teacher working at a school for children with disabilities for the past 2 years, but have been working in various childcare settings both in and out of the classroom for 5+ years. I have 5+ years working with children who have autism (most of which were nonverbal), down syndrome, children who are deaf, CP, Angelmans, OCD, etc. I have worked with children and adults spanning ages 2-25 years old. I have also worked extensively with neurotypical children and adults at the high school and college level serving as a Teaching Assistant. I am CPR certified, CPI trained, and DIR floortime certified at the 201 level. I have also served as a Job Coach teaching Job and Life Skills to adolescents with disabilities at a local grocery store. I have 2+ years experience using AAC devices and I am well versed in Read more Proloquo, LAMP, and Nova Chat. I am leaving my current job for one with more flexibility to spend time with my wife and family! I absolutely love working with kids and getting to see what life is like from their perspective. It’s an honor when a child lets you get a glimpse of their world, and I always do my best to build a strong foundation with them so we can do just that.
