Hello! I have been caring for children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers, for over a decade in home, school, church, and camp settings. I am currently the nanny for a family with two precious girls, now ages 5 and 9. My responsibilities include pick-ups/drop-offs, feeding meals and snacks, coordinating play dates, picking up after the kids, baths, dressing, bedtime, homework help, planning activities, teaching appropriate behavior, modeling manners and morals, etc. Now that the younger daughter will be starting kindergarten in August, I am seeking an additional childcare opportunity during school/daytime hours. Prior to beginning my current position, I was with an Allen family for over a year until they moved to Houston due to a work transfer. One of my early experiences was working in my high school's nursery for teachers' kids (newborns through preschoolers) once I completed a child development course. Other unique opportunities were volunteering Read more as a teacher's assistant at a ballet school for several years, volunteering every summer at Vacation Bible School, and teaching arts and craft classes at a summer camp. I have also taught Sunday school to 2-year-olds and sixth graders at my church. For the past four years, I have tutored middle and high school students for McKinney ISD. I earned an Associate's Degree and have completed several child development and early childhood/elementary education courses in college at Texas A&M University- Commerce. I have discovered from my range of experiences that there is something unique and special about every age group. I continue to be enthralled with the pure love, innocence, curiosity, and trust of children, and I hope to continue caring for them for years to come. What makes me a valuable caregiver is that I become invested in children's lives and strive to exceed all expectations. Not only am I dependable, trustworthy, and punctual, but I care deeply for the kids' happiness and development in all domains. Plus, I have plenty of energy to keep up with playful children.
