I will be going into my junior year at the University of Texas at Austin this fall as a Psychology (pre-med) major. While I have only babysat here and there for neighbors, I have been a camp counselor at Camp Independence, a camp for type one diabetic children and their siblings, for four summers now. During this camp, I look after a group of 8-12 children from ages 4-12. My responsibilities for these children include supervising throughout the day, distributing snacks and lunch, and taking care of their medical needs. I hope to become a pediatric doctor someday and would love to get more experience taking care of children!
