Howdy! It was never easy for my parents to trust their kids with anyone for more than a few moments. As I grew older, I realized it was not because they did not trust me, but because it was difficult to find an adult they felt comfortable with. When I became a teenager, my parents let me babysit my siblings all the time! Finally, they were able to go out of the house, confident the kids were in good hands. Now, as a young adult in college, I am a babysitter for the other parents who desires to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for their kids while they're away. I have a Stop the Bleed certification, and have taken self-defense classes as well.
