I graduated in May 2011 from Southern Methodist University (SMU, Dallas, TX) with a B.F.A in Dance Performance. I moved to New York City in August 2011 to pursue a career in performing arts. I have been babysitting for multiple families throughout my 2.5 years in nyc. For the past seven months I have been babysitting for two families. One family has three little boys – ages 2, 5, and 7. The second family has a little girl who was a newborn when I started. Prior to working with these families, I babysat weekly for about five months for a family in Hoboken. This family has two children - (then a 2 year old girl and 5 year old boy). I still babysit for this family for occasional date nights. After this sitter job, I babysat a 6 year old boy on the Upper East Side on weekdays before and Read more after school. I also occasionally babysit a two year old girl in Jersey City. I am from a family of seven children (I am the third child) and have been a babysitter for most of my life, for my younger siblings as well as for other families in Texas. I have caretaker experience with infants-high school students. In addition to my experience as a babysitter, I also have extensive experience as a dance teacher, teaching dance to all ages, children and adolescents alike. I teach ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, and hip-hop. I have a younger sister and four little girl cousins (ages 1-7 years old) and am therefore an expert at tea parties, fashion shows, and arts & crafts. My two youngest siblings are in elementary school, boys ages 9 and 11, and I have two little boy cousins - ages 2 & 3, so I know all about action figures & playing warriors & ninjas. I have logged countless hours babysitting for my family, families in Texas, and families in NYC. I love the outdoors, athletics, music, and creativity. Going for walks, basketball, singing, dancing, cooking, and arts & crafts are some of my favorite activities. I am high-energy and enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of children. I am also an excellent tutor in all areas of school work and give academics high priority. Most importantly, I have exceptional commitment to providing excellent childcare as I understand the importance of such a service.
