I love children of all ages. Every age and stage is special in its own way, and so is every child. My name is Heidi, I am 26 years old, and I work full time as an administrative professional in commercial real estate. I also work as a translator (English/German) on a freelance basis. I am looking for a little extra income while providing quality, loving care for your child(ren). I have cared for a single child at a time up to a group of children in a center. I always put safety first. I believe in interaction with children and playing active games, preferably outside. I am happy to take your child(ren) to the park, library, zoo, soccer practice, etc. If the weather forces us to stay inside, I have lots of games, books, and fun projects that we can work on. There is nothing wrong with watching a Read more movie or playing a video game (age appropriate, of course), but I would never just "park" a child in front of the TV just to have an easy job. I treat screen time as a reward for being active and for reading (if the child does not like to read). Of course, I will respect your parenting style and follow your rules. I am happy to cook and do light housework, if you wish so. I am a proud mom of two stepsons ages 11 and 12 who live with my husband and me. I also have four nieces (ages 5, 10, 12, 19) and a nephew (age 5). Starting at age 14, I watched friends' and neighbors' children (usually toddlers). I regularly watched a little boy from 6 months to 4 years old. I also watched a baby girl from just 6 weeks to 12 months old. At ages 17 through 19, I completed an internship at an after school care and youth center (US Army MWR CYSS) on a military installation in Germany. I loved working with the children so much, that I continued visiting the center to help out as a volunteer. The children's ages ranged from 5 years to 15 years. I provided homework supervision and assistance, lead actitivies, organized field trips, lead youth group meetings, prepared snacks, cooked with the children in small groups, and organized intercultural exchange visits between a group of American youth and German youth. I also worked in a child care facility (US Army) as an administrative assistant and received training in First Aid and CPR (adult and infant).
