Hi there! My name is Ezra, and I'm an 18-year-old sophomore at Texas State University. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in applied sociology, with a focus on pre-law studies. I've been fully vaccinated and have received my first booster shot. I have asthma, so I plan to receive a second booster shot as soon as possible if/when one becomes available. I'm interested in a part-time sitting gig near campus. There's a possibility that I may be able to work full-time during summer. I do not have access to a car and am currently working on earning my driver's license, so I unfortunately will not be able to assist with vehicular transportation. However, this may change in the near future. Although I have no formal experience with sitting, I have been one of my 5-year-old brother's primary caretakers for the majority of his life. The COVID-19 pandemic began when he Read more was 3 years old, and my parents, both full-time professors, relied on me for help while they were at work or grading papers. I was responsible for feeding him, playing with him, reading to him, teaching him basic math and reading, and putting him to bed. I also occasionally assisted with his potty-training and diaper-changing. In addition to my extensive experience with my brother, I took the Red Cross's online babysitting course when I was in high school. That program also gave me my CPR certification, and although that has expired, I am able and willing to renew it. I am an extremely hard-working person, especially as relating to my academics, and I would be more than happy to tutor your child--in a multitude of subjects--as part of my responsibilities as a sitter. A large part of why I am so excited about the possibility of a sitting gig is because I don't see my brother often since coming to university. He is honestly one of my favorite people in the world, and it has been such a privilege to watch him grow. It brings me genuine joy to provide children with the aid they need to develop into happy, well-adjusted individuals. As a sitter, I will do everything that I can to make sure that you and your family feel comfortable with me. I am ready and willing to learn and accommodate you however I am able.
