I have been passionate about working with children and teens my entire professional career. The spark was lit for me after working in an after school program at 17. Recently, I've been a high school special education teacher for 8 years in AISD working with students on the Autism spectrum. Before my time in education I worked in a residential treatment center for 2 years with children who experienced trauma. Currently I am a full time graduate student studying to become a clinical mental health counselor. I have an amazing 6 month old son with my wonderful partner.
