I am a graduate student at University of Maryland studying project management . I have been babysitting for about 5 years now. I come from a big family and I am the middle child. Babysitting is probably the BEST PART TIME JOB out there. I’ve been really lucky and the families that I work with are amazing. I prefer babysitting to working in a child care facility because you get more one on one time with the kids. I think it’s hard to build a good relationship with someone when you only spend fifteen distracted minutes with them a few times a week. When you babysit for one family you get to really know the kids and they’re kind of like your extended family. I think I love babysitting because it comes naturally to me. Whether its playing with legos for three hours, playing tag in the neighborhood, or having Read more a movie night its just so much fun to be a kid! I love arts and crafts, games, movies, logic puzzles(which legos are essentially), and role playing. Seeing the smile on the family’s faces when they get home and everything is better than they ever expected brings me nothing but joy to know that I made a difference. ♥Kia
