Hi, I’m Jae! I’m 21, originally from Oklahoma but I’ve called Texas home since 2020. I’m a creative soul who loves spending time in my craft room, whether that’s sewing, quilting, painting nails, or trying out new projects. Right now, I’m a lead toddler teacher at Primrose. While I’ve loved the classroom experience, I’m looking for something more one on one where I can build deeper connections with children and families. Outside of work, crafting is my happy place! I usually have a handful of projects going at once, and I love seeing ideas come to life. Along with crafting, I enjoy exploring new places, playing video and board games, and winding down with a good book or movie. Creativity is a big part of who I am, and I bring that same energy into my caregiving. My childcare experience: I’ve always loved working with kids. While younger, I babysat Read more often and volunteered at a family-owned daycare during summers, caring for children from 6 months to 7 years and helping with field trips. During COVID, I tutored elementary students with their virtual learning. After high school, I nannied for a year, handling school pick-ups, planning outings, and caring for children of different ages. From there, I transitioned into teaching and am now a lead toddler teacher at Primrose, gaining valuable classroom experience. On weekends, I also work as a mother’s helper, supporting a family with childcare and household tasks. Activities I enjoy with children: I love setting up crafts! Painting, gluing, cutting, and building little projects together. It’s fun, interactive, and encourages creativity. I also enjoy reading stories, playing games, and sharing my love of video games in kid-friendly ways. Outdoors, I love park trips and water play! Perfect for burning energy and making memories. My favorite caregiver moments: The little moments mean the most! Laughing with kiddos, sharing inside jokes, and hearing their giggles. Nothing beats when a child looks at me with a big smile and says I love you! Those words make everything worth it and remind me why I love this work!! What matters most to me as a caregiver: The most important part of being a nanny is building a real connection. Growing up as a daycare kid, I remember the teachers who felt like family. I still keep in touch with some of them today. That’s the kind of impact I want to have: making children feel safe, happy, and loved while creating lasting bonds.
