I am a 3rd-year student at the University of Houston! I grew up spending my summers volunteering , where I'd often be left to take care of unattended children. I'd babysit, tend to needs, and organize activities for them to keep them busy while their families were in worship. I have quite a bit of experience caregiving to special needs children/adults. I have babysat cousins with autism, and have caregiver to an aunt with Down's syndrome, so I understand the level of patience and compassion needed to facilitate a healthy and happy environment for the individual, as well as understanding and respecting their social dynamics. Last year, I taught English to inner city school children in Casablanca, Morocco, educating and tending to children between the ages of 3-15, and just this summer I did the same in Tunisia!
