I live in The Colony and am available to care for a child between ages 2 and 6 in my home. I have over 10 years experience as a nanny and many years experience as an art teacher. I have also trained to be a Tinkergarten leader and led one season with that wonderful organization before it was paused this Spring. I have a 2 and 4 year old and am looking to connect with just the right family who would like to provide a holistic homeschooling environment for their preschooler. During all of 2017, I took my infant with me to nanny for a family with a similar aged child and we had a blast together. For 6 months in 2018 I did the same with a different family, caring for my own toddler and their infant. Even with the age difference, we still had a great time. My Read more kids Rory and Olive are very friendly and sweet-natured and love playing with other children. We get outside as much as we can to play and explore nature. I utilize my background as an art educator often as we draw, paint, mold, and experiment with a variety of other projects. We recently moved to a house in The Colony near Stewart Creek Park. We are still settling in but have a large room dedicated to playing and creating for me and the kids. I have shelves FULL of supplies, activities books and toys. I have a holistic outlook on life and try to practice mindful, positive parenting. I focus on clean, whole food for my kids and limit anything processed. Makenzie is a warm, smart, caring person and a terrific babysitter. She’s been an occasional evening babysitter for our kids (boy, 10 and girl, 7) for a couple of years now. She is extremely competent and her joy in working with children is obvious. My kids always have a good time with Makenzie, my daughter especially so. I highly recommend Makenzie as a babysitter.
