Hi there, I am a proud mom of two daughters (19, 22) attending Universities in the US and Australia. I have been married for 25 years to an amazing man and recently moved to The Woodlands after a 3 yr. assignment in Australia with his company. Upon settling in, I have been thinking about what I want to do and what type of work I really want to take on. After some soul searching I realized the thing that I enjoy the most is being around kids especially with both daughters now away. In Australia, I worked full time from home and had the absolute pleasure of spending considerable time with 3 amazing families that all lived in the houses near our home. These 3 families had a combined total of 5 children ages 1,3,5,7, and 12. As I become good friends with these families I often volunteered my time Read more to give them a hand with the kids as they all worked and juggling kids was sometimes a crazy event for all involved. My time spent over the last 2 years included babysitting, walking kids to school, providing an overnight sleep over, and inviting the kids over for snacks and crafts on a regular basis. The kids often came over to hang out as I was cooking dinner to just chat about their days. In years past I worked in a corporate world and was always looking for that extra pair of hands to help out as both of myself and husband worked full time. I was lucky as I did have the opportunity to take time off to be home with 2 young children for an extended period of time and again when my girls entered their early to late teenage years. My ideal position with a family would be starting June 15th through September 15th (and possibly longer if the need was there and we mutually agreed on a schedule for the remainder of the year). I would prefer 1-3 kids, a family in The Woodlands/Springs areas, and I am available to work 20-40 hours Monday through Friday. I prefer earlier hours and am happy to take kids to any lessons, the pool, social activities and events, and just adventures that we make up. I have a safe and reliable car (2013 Mazda 2) and a 100% clean driving record. My car can accommodate 2 car seats in the back seat as there are 3 seat belts but I am not sure if 3 car seats would fit properly and that would need to be tested. I would also consider splitting the week btw 2 families as long as communication was extremely strong with all parties involved. I would consider an occasional night or weekend of babysitting overnight as I also understand!
