I began babysitting at age 10. At that time I completed a baby sitting care program and worked with 2, 15 month old twins, a 4 year old and a 7 year old. In addition to this training I worked with special needs within our school program and also with Developmental Pathways. Working with children has always been a passion, and I hope to one day have my own, but in the mean time I have my furry friends and a fenced backyard. I have always been a leader and teacher who lives to have fun in a structured environment with many activities and life skills teaching. For example field trip to the zoo; pool; historic. And on those days we stay home and do many activities such as: arts and crafts, science experiments, flash cards, matching games, and educational tech games. On occasion I watch my younger cousins, my Read more nieces and nephew's. During this period I have helped increase their test scores and retention doing many activities as simple as a pop quiz with a 'reward' this of course will be become more difficult as they age and be less difficult when they are younger. A fine example is watching a Disney movie and playing out the plot line. This also helps with comprehension
