Hi! I’m Tori, and I’m a 21 year old Child and Family studies student at Baylor University. I’m in Waco, Texas from August-May, and my holiday breaks and summers are spent home in Fairfield County, Connecticut. I’m looking to provide some help during the summer while I’m home in CT! I have always loved working with children, and have experience creating lesson plans and fun crafts/activities working in a pre-school and morning care program with children aged 2-8! I started babysitting around age 14 helping families around the neighborhood and am comfortable watching multiple children of all ages at once, but have primarily worked with toddlers and preschoolers. Most of my childcare jobs have been in preschools. I love playing with kids outside, helping with homework, and doing arts and crafts. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my dog, painting, going on walks, and reading! Fun fact: I Read more have received the seal of biliteracy in English and Spanish and although I am not yet completely fluent, I can (if necessary) communicate with children in both languages! While at Baylor, I work as an assistant teacher at the NAEYC accredited Piper Center for Family Studies and Child Development in the pre-k and toddler classes. I am skilled in conscious discipline, and believe in taking a holistic approach to best meet a child’s needs. I’m excited for the opportunity to help out some families this summer!
