I'm a 35 year old dedicated mother of two children ages 13 and 14. After graduating high school I immediately started working with special needs adults. I provided day training and basic needs care for individuals for several years. I then was a house mother in a group home for 15 special needs individuals. I then took a break to raise my own children at home. My son has been diagnosed with a neurological condition that causes learning, social and sensory difficulties. So I do have experience with those challenges as well and have learned great patience. Once my children were school age I began substitute teaching for Alpine school district/Kelly educational staffing. I subbed grades k-6 both regular and special education classes. I am currently employed part-time with RISE family services as a direct support professional for clients with special needs. I am CPR and first aid certified and Read more have a clean background and driving record. I'm reliable, structured, yet fun, kind, organized, clean and sanitary. I maintain a high standard of cleanliness in my own home as well. I also consider myself to be a very compassionate and caring individual. I love helping and caring for others, and I'm truly good at it. I have had years of experience with various special needs conditions. I also have had experience with children. I have 20+ nieces/nephews and started babysitting at age 12 and then the experience of being a mother for the last 14 years. I've also had a variety of interactions with seniors and seniors with disabilities. I have a naturally cheery disposition and I am extremely optimistic. I value integrity, honesty, and respect for all things. I promise I will provide care and support with understanding and patience while providing a safe, positive and productive atmosphere.
