I'm the eldest child of six children. My mother ran an at-home Daycare until I was 16 years old. I started babysitting on my own at 12, and spent five summers as a nanny. (One of which was spent as a live-in nanny) I graduated from college in 2014 and now work a graveyard shift at a hospital. With the way my shifts are set up, I have every other week off and will be free at any time during those weeks. I have been previously CPR certified and am in the process of renewing it. For me, babysitting just comes naturally. I learned how to care and look after children before I could read. While in college, it felt strange not being around children because they had become such an integral part of my life. Children have this unique, infectious energy and happiness about them and it makes the Read more job worthwhile. And what I've found is that all children want is for someone to play with them and make them feel special. By doing that, a person can more easily keep a child safe and help ease the worry of being apart from their parents.
