I am a holistic nutritionist who loves working with kids! I have been babysitting, nannying and working with kids for over 15 years. I love being active with kids and taking them fun places(as long as its okay with the parents). I'm not the type of babysitter to sit around and watch TV all day with them, although a movie night can be fun too! I've worked with a variety of ages from newborn to teenagers. During college and for two years after I worked for a family that had three boys. When I started working for them the youngest was an infant and the two older boys were in elementary school, I worked with this family for six years. I had a variety of different responsibilities from picking up the kids from school, cooking and preparing meals, helping with homework, driving to and from various activities and I also Read more watched the kids when the parents headed out of town for work, which was anywhere from a long weekend to 10 days. In college I studied secondary education, with a major in history and a minor in physical education. After college I've had a variety of experiences working with kids from teaching in Downtown Detroit to working in a school in Tanzania, East Africa. Currently I teach cooking classes to kids during summer camps at Bad Dog Arts in Downtown Salt Lake City. I truly love being around kids. Their energy and enthusiasm is contagious. I love getting kids in the kitchen and cooking(age appropriate), as well as playing games outside, going on hikes and adventures, doing arts and crafts and having a good time! As a babysitter I'm happy to do light housework; doing the dishes, emptying the dishwasher and of course cleaning up after any messes we make. I consider this part of the job.
