I am originally from Chicago, but have lived in Salt Lake City for almost 4 years and absolutely love the area. I currently work at the University of Utah as a Student Success Advocate, but have a flexible schedule. I have previous sitting experience from high school and college watching children as young as 3 months to 9 and 10 year olds. More recently, I have watched 9-14 year old children (and pets) while their parents were on vacation. I am comfortable working one on one with children as well as watching multiple siblings. I believe in providing a fun, engaging experience while maintaining consistency and structure. I have taken many child psychology and development classes, as my Bachelors is in Psychology (I also have a Masters in Counseling & Student Development). I am also a part-time dog trainer, so if you're looking for a pet sitter for your pooch, Read more I'm your gal! I do in-home boarding, but will also stay at your place, so long as I can bring my dog, Admiral, along too. I am loving and affectionate with pets that I watch, but I also am sure to give them daily exercise, structure, and training. My goal is that they return to you better behaved! I am quite active and love to hike and snowshoe, so if I'm watching your dog, there's a good chance they'll get to join in on the activity too! I am open-minded, I love the outdoors and the city, and I look forward to hearing from you! As a quick note--I am allergic to cats, however all other pets I am comfortable with (in fact I have my own dog)! And if the cat is contained to a room that I don't have to go into, I'm good with that too.
