I AM LOOKING FOR A DATE NIGHT/OCCASIONAL position as I am a full time student and I am usually only free after 7 most nights besides the weekend, when I am usually available during the day and nights. I have been babysitting since the age of 15 and it has become a reoccurring job for me in the past 2 years. I became a babysitter out of convenience for the neighbors but ended up loving playing and working with children. I feel that I am a good babysitter because I can be fun and easy going but I can also set boundaries with the kids when they are misbehaving. We had a very nice interview with Grace. Ultimately - there was someone with some really specific special needs experience that we selected for the bulk of our summer needs - but I am thrilled that Grace agreed to be on our roster for occasional evenings / weekends. Here are the things that impressed me with Grace: - Personable - Arrived early for the interview - Asked if I would like references, and then not only did she immediately follow up by asking her reference to reach out to me, but her reference (a presumably busy single mom of 3) called me that very evening. She then took the time to play phone tag with me a bit, and had nothing but glowing things to say. - Grace also was the only person to ever give me feedback on my SitterCity ad (She told me that it was very welcoming - which I really appreciated). - When I emailed her letting her know that we chose someone else for our full time work but that would love to have her on our roster for occasional needs, she texted me immediately saying that she was glad we found a such a great fit for our summer needs, and that she was excited to work with us on an as-needed basis. This made me feel really good and demonstrated maturity.
