I am currently a sophomore at the University of Utah studying Mathematics and Computer Science. I’m a part of the Women in Computing and the Women in Math organizations and am currently a mentor for the ACCESS for Women in STEM program for 1st years at the U. Being the oldest cousin and daughter of my family, I always babysat for family growing up and basically raised my sisters. I seriously got into childcare in high school being a babysitter in my neighborhood as well as doing over 100 hrs of volunteer work at The Children’s Center in Kearns as a Therapeutic Preschool Assistant. Since being admitted to the U I have worked part-time at the UKids preschool/daycare (which is NAEYC accredited) on campus, where I have become First Aid and CPR certified. Currently, due to the pandemic, my hours have been cut to zero. I seriously miss those kids!
