Endlessly curious about kids & care deeply about making them feel seen and loved. Left my job as a professor to return to the joy & purpose I felt working w/ kids. Going back to school to be a child therapist, babysitting to afford tuition/rent/healthcare. Started babysitting in 2000, later coached elementary aged field hockey. Earned a B. S. in Psychology & Ph. D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Penn State, during which time I was the go- to babysitter for several professors in my college with children 0-8. I completed 2 college internships teaching social, job, and academic skills to Autistic teens and adults. Worked 11 yrs in early childhood & higher ed in PA, NJ, NYC, Read more UT: babysitter, nanny, teacher, afterschool program director, professor. I have taught in Montessori, psychoanalytic, Reggio Emilia- informed, campus based, and Lutheran church based preschools. I have had 3 year- long fellowships in psychoanalysis, which means I have specialized training in child development and therapeutic ways of engaging with all children in everyday interactions. I have done observational research in classrooms in U. S. and France, & taught undergrad & grad courses at Penn State & Weber State in child development, play, language/literacy, curriculum planning, Ed psych & classroom management, and understanding children beyond behavior. I have an Infant Mental Health Endorsement. I'm President of Utah Association for Infant Mental Health & regular volunteer in 3-5yo classroom @ The Sammy Center. I cannot be around large dogs but am otherwise pet friendly. I am a 32 year old woman who is Atheist and Jewish. My large arm tattoos of plants and my nose piercing will be visible.
