I have been caring for and teaching children for 20 years now. I take great pride in being someone that a parent can trust and being given the opportunity to get to know your children. I am honest, smart, loving, and reliable. I began my childcare career when I moved to Nashville, TN to attend college in 2002. My first job there was at an elementary school where I tutored first and fourth graders in math and reading. After that, I became a live-out nanny for a 6-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl. I worked for that family five days a week for just over two years, including summers. I still keep in touch with them and love to be a part of a family, not just someone who goes in and out of children's lives. Throughout college, I was a live in nanny for a 12-month-old girl, then cared for Read more a 4-year-old boy and his 9-month-old sister, and finished college while caring for a 2-year-old boy. After receiving my Bachelor's in Business Administration, I decided to take a job at a daycare where I was assistant teacher in the infant room. We had eight children under the age of 18 months between two teachers. I worked there 25 hours a week and then found a full-time opportunity with a private family. I watched two infant girls from the time they were 3.5 weeks old until I moved to St. George in 2011 when they were 18 months old. I have worked with ages ranging from 1 month to 16 years. Here in St. George over the past 10 years, I have worked with a family with 3 girls, another family with 3 boys, a family with 1 son and 3 daughters, and multiple families of 1 or 2 children. A few of those families have moved, yet I still stay in touch and visit when possible. I also worked 5 years doing education programs for the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. I have local references as well as references from before moving to Utah. I have extensive experience with children and love to experience the world through their eyes. They truly are a blessing and there is nothing I love more! I am also CPR and First Aid Certified so be at ease that I know how to handle an emergency, if something should arise. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I have a toddler of my own and currently watch another toddler in my home mornings throughout the week. Therefore I am only available a couple hours in the afternoon or for date nights/weekend help at this time, but the schedule may be changing soon.
