I first got involved in care-giving at age 14 when I became a Jr. Counselor with the St. Mary's County Parks and Recreations Office. I was trained in first aid and CPR, planned field trips and learned from experienced counselors. Afterwards, I became involved with Starmaker Learning Center, and I love working with the kids there. I got to learn so much from my experiences, not just CPR and training, but patience and care. I have always liked working with children because it is more enjoyable than being in an office. Sometimes I feel as though I'm not working at all.
