Hello, I am Veronica Stokes and I am a recent college graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My degree is in English with a minor in Secondary education and Spanish. Basically...I am a high school English teacher that knows spanish lol. I love children and have a passion for teaching. Throughout college I worked in a pre-school with children ranging from 6 month babies to kindergartners. I have also been employed in multiple summer camps working with school aged children. I have my own transportation and have never been in a damaging or life threatening accident. I believe in being an active, responsible, and engaged babysitter therefore I put 100% into my job. Because of my dedication, I am willing to take the kids to extracurricular activities and help out around the home. Overall my friends would describe me as bubbly, fun, and passionate. Veronica is everything you want in a babysitter. When I met her to do an initial interview I was impressed by her bubbly, outgoing personality and how she immediately got down to the kids' level and engaged them, while still carrying on a conversation with me. She is friendly, smart, experienced, trustworthy, and seems like she could get along with anyone. I felt completely comfortable leaving my 4 year old with Veronica. She read stories to him, played LEGOS with him, and helped him with all of his bedtime routine just as instructed. She was great about writing me back quickly when I would text to check in, and she was totally flexible and accommodating when we needed to extend our return time by 30 minutes. We only wish she weren't moving so that we could continue to use her as our weekly babysitter, but we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors!
