I have babysat many families in the past, including a 10 year old girl and 6 year old boy, as well as a 5 year old girl for most of high school and occasionally in college. Along with babysitting, I spent the past 5 years lifeguarding at my towns local country club, and am still certified in CPR/AED and first aid. Additionally, one of my additional jobs at the country club was being a stand-in camp counselor during the day for the kids, so I am quite used to inventing games and activities to keep kids occupied, as well as manager temp-tantrums, outbursts, etc. I love babysitting because it's one of the few experiences where you can genuinely get to know some great kids and learn from them just as much, sometimes even more, than they learn from you!
