Hello! My name is Samy and I am a part time student at VCU l. I am currently taking a year off due to the pandemic, and to focus my time on working. At VCU, I was a special education major and spent a lot of time learning about special needs. I am also the oldest of 4 siblings, with my youngest brother being on the spectrum for autism. Because of this, I have learned the necessary behavioral therapy and understanding to care for children with developmental disorders. In High School I completed an Early Childhood and Teacher Cadet course, both of which prepared me for the field of childcare. Not to mention, I took a little time to do field work as a Registered Behavioral Technician, so I’ve spent a lot of time learning! I have nannied and babysat for many different families throughout the years, and am looking Read more to work for a family that can help me to be the best caregiver I can be :) I am also CPR and First Aid certified, and fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Samy has been a real savior for us. She'd been a calming presence that's helped us as we finally transition out of the terrible-twos with my oldest, and has been a great companion for the baby during the day. She's been able to stay late on a way-more-than-should-be-accepted basis! We adore her and will definitely continue working with her!
