Hey, my name is Alexis. I am currently a college student at George Mason University, and I am pursuing a degree in Social Work. I hope to one day become a school social worker or a guidance counselor. I have volunteered for the past three years at Joni and Friends Family Retreat, a camp for families with special needs children. In addition, I have been a part-time nanny for both my cousins and for others in my community during past summers. In the past, I have also babysat for families that had anywhere from two to five children. Additionally, I was a teacher's assistant in my high school, where I helped to teach and supervise a class of high school children seeking to learn Spanish. Finally, I am currently a part-time attendant to an adolescent with cerebral palsy.
