Hello, my name is Shayna Gomez! I am a recent graduate of the University of Virginia, and I will be residing in Charlottesville over the summer. I enjoy writing, reading, taking care of my plant babies, baking delicious treats, and playing the piano. Ever since I was young, I found myself in positions where I would take care of other people, especially those younger than me. In my hometown, we have a big Filipino community full of children, so I always found it comfortable to interact with kids. I have babysat in the past, primarily preschool and elementary aged kids. I think children deserve to be heard and elevated, and in the future, I hope to work in a profession that will allow me to do that. I would love to teach the future generation :)
