Laura has been our babysitter for more than a year and we are devastated to be losing her due to a move. Upon meeting her, there was an instant sense of calm that came over me. It is rare to find someone that you can trust your children with beyond the shadow of a doubt, and she was it for me. She loved my boys as if they were her own. She is always on the floor playing with them and showing affection. She homeschooled my oldest while I was at work and had him beyond prepped for Kindergarten. And she became one of my dearest friends and will be for a lifetime. If you are looking for someone to trust your children with, to know they will be nurtured and played with and not just stuck in front of the tv, to ease their fears when they are first learning to be away from you-you will meet with her immediately and hire her instantaneously. My heart is broken that she is moving as my boys will miss her just as much as I will. She is their next best friend (second only to me!) and they just light up and respond to her. My youngest (now 17 months) reaches for her when he sees her. THAT is love. THAT is trust. And THAT gives this mama all she needs to turn around and head out that door.
