Hi! My name is Kristine Hatton, I am a 24 year old college student at NOVA Woodbridge campus, my schedule is pretty full but I do try to find time for afternoon and evening jobs. I found Sittercity through a tv ad, and immediately knew I wanted to apply. I am hard-working, reliable, respectful, responsible, honest and will not be shy about talking to the parents about questions or concerns I have. I believe communication is key in building a good parent/sitter relationship.   I always try to make things as fun and interesting as possible for the kids and I make sure to engage all the kids in the activity being done at the time, being careful to never make a child feel like he or she is being left out.   I do not have any previous paid experience with baby-sitting, but I have watched family (siblings, cousins, Read more my two nieces, etc) as well as a few family friends asking me to watch their kids for a few hours. Usually the parents would be at home, just busy with other things and I would keep the kids occupied and make sure they didn't disturb their parents.  Due to a medical condition, which is being kept under control with medication, I do not have my license. I will however, be getting it soon as my doctor has cleared me to drive. I just haven't had the time to take the test with school being so demanding at the moment. So, that being said, I will not unfortunately be able to take any jobs that are more than walking distance from my house. I may be able to take some a few miles out if I can get someone to drive me. Again, this is only until I get my license and a car.
