Meet Brittney

Hello! My name is Brittney and I am a Junior at George Mason studying history. I am the youngest of ten siblings, eight of whom are adopted. We’re a multi-ethnic family; I have siblings who were born in Germany, Korea, Ethiopia, and Yugoslavia. Having a lot of siblings means having a lot of nieces and nephews! I currently have twelve nieces and nine nephews (along with one on the way). As most of my siblings are married with full-time jobs, I’ve been dubbed the “family babysitter.” I’ve known these kids since they were born, so I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to watch them grow up and spend so much time with them, but I’ll be moving to Burke soon and will no longer be close enough to babysit them regularly. I’m hoping I’ll be able to share my time with a new family! My last professional Read more position was at a swim-school in Centreville. I coached children ages 8-12 in preparation for competitive swimming, led Mommy-and-Me classes for parents and children ages 13 months to three years, and directed swim lessons tailored to children with special needs. I’m currently studying full-time and have school on Monday-Thursday. On weekends, I am free at any time. On weekdays, I am free in the afternoon. Monday is the only day I cannot work.
