I work in the school system as a special education instructional assistant. I have many years of experience working with children both in a school and home setting. I have worked with children of varying abilities, including but not limited to: ADHD, Autism, hard of hearing, physical disabilities, and behavioral issues. I am looking for a part-time summer position (as school will be out), or to babysit on an as-needed basis, with the possibility to continue into the school year as an AM/PM sitter. My experience as a babysitter/nanny: I have worked as a full-time and part-time nanny for many years. Responsibilities included: transporting children to/from school as well as sports and activities, snack and meal prep, laundry and other household cleaning, administering medications as needed, etc. I have a clean criminal and driving record, willing to run background check.

I had been communicating with Kristin for a few days and she sounded interested in my position. I took time to contact her reference and we discussed her coming to the house to meet my kids. Out of nowhere, though, she stopped responding to my emails and I haven't heard from her since. A simple email or text would have been appropriate.
