I was a stay-at-home mom to my four children. They are all grown now: one is a police officer; one a middle school teacher; one a college professor with a Phd, and my youngest is a Federal Government IT specialist. I have two grandchildren with another granddaughter due next spring. When my first grandchild was born, I traveled 3.5 hours each way weekly to provide day care for him from Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday I went back to Maryland to take care of my father and other family business. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, but my true loves are children, animals (especially my dogs) and crafts. I breed, train and show Flat-Coated Retrievers. I am also a professional custom embroiderer and a vendor at the Kilmarnock Antique Gallery.
