First off, I love kids! I have been babysitting for years now, probably since I was 14. I have babysat for countless families at my church, as well as working in the nursery on Sunday mornings. I taught the four year old class during Vacation Bible School at my church. I've gone on service trips and worked with kids in the inner cities, as well. I am currently a freshman at York College of Pennsylvania, and I miss babysitting! I worked almost as a nanny during my senior and junior year of high school. I have watched kids ranging from infants to 12 years old.

Hey! My name is Haley, I'm twenty, and I’m looking for part time nanny/babysitting jobs! I have seven years experience caring for children, 2 years professionally (meaning after I turned eighteen). I’ve cared for children as young as three months to as old as thirteen years, and up to three children at once! I have a bit of experience with special needs like Autism and ADHD, and am willing to learn about any special needs I’m new to caring for. While babysitting and nannying, I love to engage the child in games and activities. Whether that’s playing a game, arts and crafts, or baking! I even helped three kids make homemade lemon popsicles one time, which made them feel very accomplished and excited to try their creations! I’m happy to do light child-related housecleaning, like laundry, dishes, picking up toys, and more. Along with that, I’m happy to do meal prep, potty training help, naps/bedtime, play date supervision, pool supervision, and pet care. If you have any more questions, let me know, I’m happy to answer any you may have!

Mikael A.
- 1 year paid experience

Hi there! My name is Mikael, and I have always had a natural ability to connect with people of all ages, especially kids and the elderly. I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy creating a fun, safe, and comforting environment where children can feel cared for, understood, and encouraged to be themselves. Whether it is helping with homework, organizing creative activities, or simply listening and being present, I find a lot of joy in helping families feel supported. I completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course, currently uncertified, and have First Aid and CPR training, which has given me a strong foundation in safety, care, and attention to detail. Back in my hometown, I spent about a year babysitting children in my neighborhood, from infants to middle schoolers, helping with everything from meal prep and bedtime routines to light housekeeping and after-school activities. In addition to childcare, I have also gained experience caring for the elderly, which strengthened my patience, empathy, and ability to stay calm under pressure. I take pride in being reliable, nurturing, and someone families can truly depend on. I would love to bring that same care and energy to your family.

As a mom of 4 girls, I know how important it is to make sure that your child or children are in a safe and welcoming environment. I have been providing child care since I was an early adolescent girl starting off as a neighborhood and family babysitter. When I was 16 I started working at a licensed daycare center and throughout my adulthood I’ve worked at other ones as well. Outside of traditional babysitting and working at a daycare center, I also was a nanny my duties included facilitating homeschooling lessons, cooking/meal planning, cleaning, as well as taking the children on field trips to many local community settings. Academically, I have a bachelor’s degree in Community and Human Services and am in the process of obtaining a master’s degree from Liberty University, I did however take some time off due to me having a newborn baby. My most recent employment was at a public middle school in my former school as a paraprofessional and my duties were focused on working with students that had IEPs. I have had other experiences working with individuals that had an array of different abilities/limitations at a OPWDD agency. I was also a teacher assistant for a school specifically for students that were diagnosed with autism. Children should be able to feel supported and encouraged to learn in whatever way is best for them. My biggest worry when it comes to my own children is that when they are not with me, is their physical safety of course as well as mental security, that their thoughts and emotions are validated. And I’m mindful of that with it comes to other children as well. Each stage of the childhood phase is precious, from the moment a baby is first born and is desiring to be held and fed to the moment in which they are graduating high school and are going towards adulthood. We as parents who absolutely love our children and want the very best for them know that it’s a “matter of fact” when it comes to who we allow our children to be around. One fact is there is no other decision that we will make in this time of their lives that will be more important than who we trust with them. One vital component is that person needs to be patient and understanding, through my many years of both personal and professional experiences, I’ve learned to be that. Another one is being able to promote a secure and fun environment, and that is what your children will have with me!

Kaylee G.
- 3 years paid experience
- 7 miles
Hello! My name is Kaylee, and I moved to Virginia from Massachusetts about a year ago. As I have gotten settled in, I have been excited to connect with families in the community and offer reliable babysitting/pet support. Kids are usually a little sad to see me leave after a babysitting session, and that’s because I make it my priority to create a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for them. I’ve spent several years caring for toddlers (my favorite age group—they always keep me on my toes!) as well as older children. I also have two years of experience working in professional daycare settings. My responsibilities have included arts and crafts, homework help, creative play, light cleaning, and pet care. I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes—I have owned two large-size dogs weighing over 100 pounds —so walking, feeding, bathing, and playtime are no problem.
