Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I have over 12 years of experience in childcare, ages ranging from newborn to 16 years old. My background has been in babysitting, nannying and being an Assistant Teacher. I also have first hand experience with being a parent myself. When I know what I would want from someone watching my child, it comes natural to provide that service for others. I have a completely open schedule and can provide full time, part-time or on occasion care. My Fiancè currently works from home so I have care for my son already covered, but am open to my son developing a friend if the situation is a right fit! I have weekend availability as well and can be flexible with short notice. I can also accommodate to any inconsistencies in a work schedule you may run into. I desire to pass along influential traits to every family I work with. I have a wide range of experience in different educational styles; such as Montessori/Waldorf, Homeschooling and more traditional methods..to accommodate to your family needs. I take a holistic well-rounded approach in child care. I eliminate the one size fits all approach and cater to each child based on their specific interest and needs. I use gentle parenting techniques and redirection when necessary. A part of the job to me is to be engaging, creative and supporting their emotional and developmental stages in life. I also believe in supporting a healthy lifestyle and encourage spending lots of time in nature as well. I would rather support creative play and be outdoors v.s. watching T.V. with them all day. Although technology has it's time and place, it doesn't replace the real value of having a supportive influence. My goal is to help your child meet or exceeded milestones. I have also completed a Doula training course to provide well-rounded emotional and physical support to not only children but the parents as well. My desire is to help families through any stage of life they may be in. My utmost goal is to support the family dynamic, maintain the current structure and routine and provide insight and guidance where needed.
