Hi there! My name is Jordyn Akers and I am an rva native /current VCU student! When I’m not taking classes and pursuing my dream of becoming a teacher, I can usually be found working as a substitute for various local schools, hanging out with my family in our new home in Mechanicsville, or spending time with my sorority sisters doing tons of different projects! I have worked with children ever since my freshman year of high school at DRHS, where I helped coach the elementary and middle school teams in the area alongside some of my teammates. I have also babysat kids from ages4-13, and I’ve completed three semesters of student teaching as well as 6 months as a substitute. Additionally, I am CPR and first aid certified.
