Hi! My name is Akua Hanes & I live in Henrico, VA. I've been living in Henrico for the past year. Before I got married I lived in NOVA. I am currently working as a caregiver for a company called Public Partnership, also know as PPL. I've been working with them for the past 5 years. My first client was a little boy that had cerebral palsy, I worked with him until his family moved to North Carolina. The second client I worked with was a little girl that had cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and autism. I worked with her until I moved to Fredericksburg, VA. For the past 3, going on 4 years I have been working with a lady that has MD and is confined to a wheelchair. She has 3 children, all under the age of 7. Her oldest has a speech delay and is also hyper-sensitive. For the Read more first 2 years I actually lived with them. I've always had a heart for kids I enjoy making some sort of impact on someone’s life even if it is just a little one. Since I've been working for this family I also enjoy working with adults. Unlike working with kids, I can help teach them. But with adults, they teach me! I'm currently out of school due to financial reason's I was supposed to graduate in May of 2010 but wasn't able to return. Although I do not have any children of my own one day I hope to be a mom. I don't really have a preference of what types of families I babysit for, really doesn't matter to me! I'm most comfortable with children under the age of 12 but am perfectly capable of taking care of older. As for activities with the kids pretty much I'm open to anything that they want to do. If they want to play video games, board games, play with legos I'm cool with all of that as long as it's cool with the parents. Also, I am in the process of renewing my CPR and First Aid certification. I am not CNA but I do have a lot of experience working with kids, kids and adults with special needs/disabilities. Although I live in Henrico, I still work in Fredericksburg. I'm 28 years old and I'm going into my 2nd year of marriage.

Scheduled interview and applicant did not show up. I received no phone call advising she would not make the interview and applicant did not respond to 2 text messages or a phone call. Did seem like friendly person but ,unfortunately, not reliable from the very beginning.
