I've been working with children for many years and in many different capacities. I started working as a babysitter mostly during the summer and when I wasn't in school. My grandmother also owned a state certified daycare, so she helped me to receive my CPR and First Aid certification for infants, children, and adults in 2002. It was through referral that I began a position as a part time nanny for a four month old, two year old, and five year old in Maidens, Virginia. After relocating closer to the town of Louisa, Virginia, I then took a job as a reading tutor for a non-profit organization. Shortly thereafter, I began working as a substitute teacher for Louisa County Schools. I liked both jobs, however I truly enjoyed tutoring. After moving to the beautiful Hot Springs, Virginia, I began substituting for Bath County Schools. Although I've had other jobs, I've Read more found what I'm best at and what I enjoy the most is working with children.
